TDR-10M1 is an updated version of  TDR-10M reflectometer, which has already become a classical model . More than 10 years of successful operation on the cable networks of Russia and the CIS.

TDR RI-10M1 is a cable fault locator, designed to determine the nature and location of a fault in any type of metallic cable lines. You can even use a TDR RI-10M1 to troubleshoot and measure all types of twisted pair, coaxial and power cables, both aerial and underground.

Cable Fault Locator TDR RI-10M1 allows you to define: opens, shorts, splices, splits and re-splits, bridged taps, water damage, crimps, cuts, smashed cables, shorted conductors, system components, and a variety of other fault conditions. In addition, TDR-10M1 can be used to test reels of cable for length, shipping damage, cable shortages, cable usage, inventory management and documenting cable systems.

Good measurement performance

  • Measurement in real time;
  • A wide scale range  from 250 m to 50 km;
  • Instrumental error of distance measuring – 0.04% … 0.4% of the current scale;
  • Wide pulse widths from 10 ns to 50 μs allows to the operator to select the optimum ratio resolution of the device and overlapped decay – in short segments cable or cables with little attenuation is better to use short  pulses to provide the best resolution, on long cables or cables with high attenuation for maximum measurment distance, it is better to use  a longer probe pulse widths;
  • The high sensitivity of the receiving channel – 1 mV (dynamic range 80 dB);
  • Noise Filters – Digital averaging 1 … 128 times can effectively suppress asynchronous noise;

Special modes of measurement and analysis

  • Possibility of a detailed review of any portion of the waveform;
  • Asynchronous interference suppression;
  • Mode “crosstalk detect” is intended to identify locations entangling pairs  in couplings or twistings;
  • Preview mode waveforms with text notes from memory;
  • Mode “compare” with a waveform from the device memory;

  • Non-volatile memory for 100 waveforms with  all measurement parameters;
  • Embedded table of  velocity factor of 200 values, with the possibility of replenishment;
